Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day Ben offered to make me dinner, this is quite the gift/offer coming from Ben since he doesn't have much experience in the kitchen. (One time I asked him to boil water and was asked, "How exactly do I do that?") He told me I could pick anything I wanted for dinner so I decided on spaghetti. I know it seems like a boring meal, but I love it! Ben was up for the challenge deciding to even making his own sauce! Wow!
We decided on a recipe from my Everyday Food Martha Stewart magazine. "Spaghetti with Bolognese Sauce." "Dee-zang! That's................... hot!" (Direct quote from the chef!)We even decided to break out the "Lennox"... beautiful dishes my sister got for us in Italy. The meal turned out great! Ben was very pleased with the finished product and has even challenged my dad (expert spaghetti sauce maker) to a "Sauce Duel!" I told Ben it was the perfect Valentine night! I am such a home body that nothing beats a meal while in comfy clothes and in a warm house! Happy Valentine's Day!

Will you be mine?

I'm glad to have you as my Valentine!  I don't know how one can look at this face and not laugh and smile... in a good way!  Thanks Demmy for bringing much joy, laughter, and love into my life!

Happy Balentime's Day!

Live Strong

Ben and I have had a difficult week, a friend of ours from church was diagnosed with Leukemia last Friday. His family started a blog so friends and family could get frequent updates. Last night we were sad to hear that our friend, Ezra Sherman, past away. Ben and I have had lots of time today to reflect on this young boys life and the incredibly faithful family he belongs to. We've had a few people ask us for the blog address so if you're interested in Ezra's story here it is: http://www.ezrasherman.blogspot.com/ As we read the entries on their blog we were constantly inspired by their faith and love for their son. During this sad time we have learned from Ezra and his family to appreciate the time we have on earth and to live life to the fullest.

Ben and I wanted to take a moment to say we are incredibly grateful for our faith, family, and friends. The support and love you give us never goes unnoticed. Every day we're given is truly a gift and we're thankful to have spent our days with the ones we love. God bless.
