Seattle has been hit with an "Arctic Blast", as the news stations have been calling it! We received about 6 inches last night on top of all the other ice and snow that was already on the ground. We know all of our readers in Utah, Iowa, Colorado, and New Jersey get many inches of snow every winter, but 6 inches in the Seattle has the entire city is at a stand still. Sand, salt, and snow tires are sold out, de-icer at the airport has run out, every flight out of Sea-Tac has been cancelled for tonight, and plows can't get down our skinny streets. (We probably don't have enough plows to clear every residential street anyway.) Church was cancelled today so Ben and I had a quiet day in the apartment and went for a walk in the snow this afternoon.

Here we are in downtown Fremont.

We took a page out of our niece Lydia's book and decided to make some snow angels.

MaeMae's Angel!
