Towards the end of my college career I took a class that focused on starting a business. We had to create a logo, business cards, letter head, business plans, contracts... etc. My first assignment was to count the number of photographers and wedding photographers listed the the yellow pages. (The yellow pages... who uses those now?!?) The point of the assignment was for us to see how much competition there was out there in the photography world. Creating the urge and desire to find a way to *stand out* amongst all the others.
At the start of 2009 I decided to take a leap of faith and focus more on my photography. I have loved being a preschool teacher and nanny for the last 6+ years (and will continue to love it... Natalie, Andrew, and William) but feel I should step into the photography world and finally see what happens. I have been extremely blessed the past few months as I've tried to come up with a logo and website that make me *stand out*.
My amazing logo and brand was created by Carrie and Colin's friend Bryan Chackle. Thank you Bryan! A good friend, Joseph, has offered to let me borrow his digital camera until I can afford one of my own. (All my equipment is still stuck in the "film ages.") Thank you Joseph! My website was created by yours truly, but not without the help and advice from family, friends Shannon and Tom, and my very patient husband Ben. Thank you all! Please check out my website, I'd love to hear what you think!
