Mother's Day Surprise

Before the McDougall's took off for North Carolina my dad decided it would be fun to surprise Nona and Momma-Bree on Mother's Day! The six Seattle-Kirkland-ites loaded into our cars bright and early Sunday morning and made the 3 hour drive down to Vancouver. My mom (Nona) didn't realize where we were going until we had been in the car for nearly 2 hours!

We were happy to spend one final day with the kiddos before they packed up and moved across country! Thanks for a great day, hopefully it was just as fun for the two mom's we were celebrating!

Noah James - getting so big. I love his little mohawk hairdo!

T-Ball and Update

One month has almost past since we last posted. May has been a very busy month for us, Ben started an internship with WA-DOT in their PR department. It's a 20 hour per week internship (for 3 months) and they fill up that entire 20 hours with work. There is no sitting around or just "getting the boss coffee" at the DOT. :-) Ben says he loves it, that he's learning a lot and is adjusting back to "work" life. We'll keep you posted as the summer progresses, hopefully we can report on full time employment for Ben soon!
I've been keeping busy with my nanny job and suddenly this May, Mandy Watson Photography has been booming! HA! I've had several really big jobs this month, school pictures at a preschool, dance team photos, and t-ball action shots. Thank you to my dad (who got me the preschool job), Carrie (my sister, for the dance team job), and Shannon (t-ball job). I really appreciate you all promoting me and giving me the opportunity to gain some more experience. All three jobs were a first (in a way) for me, and I feel like I've grown a lot this month. So thank you.

Okay enough about us, lets move onto the real reason why I'm posting today. Andrew (one of my nanny kids) invited us to one of his T-ball games earlier this month. This particular T-ball game had importance significance because his team (coached by his dad) was playing his mom's team. Side note: Tom and Shannon (Andrew's parents) coach separate T-ball teams because so many kids from Andrew's kindergarten class signed for T-ball they needed two teams. No other parents were stepping up, offering to coach, so they just decided to coach both teams. Overachievers.... There was quite a bit of friendly smack talk on the field that day, not amongst the kids. Ben called the game the "War at Home." We had a great time at the game, Andrew we were super impressed with your T-ball stance and your enthusiasm for the game! Thank you for inviting us and we hope to come to another game soon!
