Lunch at "Stewart's", Lydia happily finished my root beer!

Before we left the city we decided to walk to the infamous cheese steak stops, Geno's & Pat's. Geno's has received national recognition this year for this controversial sign it has posted by their registers.
Directly across the street from Geno's is another cheese steak shop called Pat's. Pat's is what all our relatives recommended and as we walked through the neighborhood's we (or I should say my Dad) asked many of the locals which one was the best. They all said Pat's.
Besides, Rocky ate cheese steaks from Pat's, they must be the best!
One more funny thing we saw while walking through Philadelphia, we couldn't resist!

Ben and I commented on the unbelievable weather while we were on top of the needle. Even though we have both been up to the top many times, the view was the clearest we've ever seen. Besides Mt. Rainier we could also see Mt. Baker in the distance!
We dined on the 100 level, and had a free trip to the top afterwards. Three local caterers were featured for dinner, we enjoyed fresh crab cakes, pacific rim shrimp cocktail, pork and beef tacos, (with all the fixin's) and an assortment of olives and cheeses. For desert we sipped on Thomas Kemper root beer floats!
Such an impressive staircase, with lemonade and a bench at the half way point!
Lydia decided she needed to "clean" the beach, by throwing all the rocks into the water. That's quite the undertaking on a Washington beach!
Mae-Mae-Demmy, we're one person according to Lydia.
Sisters!
The night started with an intense game of "Candyland", thankfully we all made it to the candy castle!

After dinner we watched part of "Mulan", while waiting for our tummies to make room for some desert!

Despite the ice cream, brownies Lydia made for us, movies, and all the excitement, lights were out and eyes were closed by 9:30! Unbelieveable... right?
Snoozers! Andrew, Lydia in the middle, and Natalie!
